When do I get paid?

Pay day schedules are available for both Hourly Employees and Salary Employees.

I did not get paid. What do I do?

Check with your supervisor to see if your time sheet was submitted and approved on time. Your supervisor will need to contact the Payroll Office or Human Resources.

How do I get a copy of my paystub?

  • Go to  and enter your user name and password to login
  • Click on "Tools" then “Benefits and Pay Info" in the left-hand navigation
  • Click on the “Pay Information" link
  • Click on “Pay Stub" link
  • Select the year and click on the “Display" button
  • Click on the date you wish to view
  • To print-scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “printer friendly"
  • Right click anywhere on the screen and select “print"
  • On the top right hand corner, click on “Tools," then “Print", then “Print Preview"
  • Change printing preferences from “As laid out on screen" to “Only the selected frame"

I lost my check, what should I do?

Lost checks should be reported to the Payroll Office as soon as possible. A stop payment request will be placed.  Once the Payroll Office receives confirmation that the check has not been cashed, a replacement check will be issued.  This process could take up to 48 hours to complete.

Where is my check delivered?

Student paychecks are delivered to their campus mailboxes. Employee paychecks are mailed to the mailing address set up in the myÂ鶹ƵµÀportal. Please notify the Payroll Office at (323) 259-2884 or payroll@oxy.edu if you need to make other arrangements.

How much vacation and sick time do I accrue?

Regular Full Time Employees are paid the following -

  • Vacation:

    Salary Employees: First 5 years - 6.67 hours a month, equivalent to 10 days per year with a maximum accrual of 120 hours (15 days). 6th year and thereafter - 10.00 hours a month, equivalent to 15 days per year with a maximum accrual of 180 hours (22.5 days).

    Hourly Employees: First 15 years – 6.67 hours a month, equivalent to 10 days per year with a maximum accrual of 120 hours (15 days). 15 years and thereafter - 10.00 hours a month, equivalent to 15 days per year with a maximum accrual of 180 hours (22.5 days).
  • Sick Time:

    Accrual starts first day of employment but is not available until after 90 days of consecutive employment. Both Salary and Hourly Employees: 8 hours per month, equivalent to 12 days per year. Maximum accrual is 320 hours (40 days).

What is my sick or vacation time accrual balance?

  • Go to and enter your user name and password to login
  • Click on the “Student Services" or “Work-Related" tab
  • Click on the “Leave Balances" link
This will show you up to date earned and available vacation and sick time.

Which Holidays do I get paid for?

Regular full time employees get paid for the following holidays:

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Presidents Day
Memorial Day 
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Friday
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day

In order to be eligible for holiday pay you must work the last scheduled workday before and after the holiday. These dates are posted every year on the Human Resources website at the bottom of the page.
