Students are responsible for knowing the following:

Any damage to a room or its contents must be reported immediately to the work order website so the necessary repairs may be made.  Failure to do so may result in damage charges. Normal wear of furnishings and equipment in a hall is expected. Damages, beyond normal wear and tear, to the room or furnishings will be charged to the individuals found responsible.

Permanent modifications to residence halls are prohibited. No painting, drilling, cutting, nailing or any other type of change to the permanent structure of the facility is allowed. This includes hanging of items, installation of equipment and all other types of activities which alter the physical structure of the facility. Offending students will be charged for any repairs, replacements and cleaning necessary to restore the area or objects to the original condition.

If the identity of the person(s) responsible cannot be determined, the cost of repairing the damage will be divided among residents living in the space. An equal share of hall damages will be billed at the end of the semester. Excessive hall damages can be eliminated if each resident agrees not to let the damages occur, and to identify the person(s) responsible when the damages do occur. Damage charges will not be covered by programming and activities funds.
