The Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation (DHR) Policy exists to reflect and maintain the College’s institutional values and community expectations pertaining to civil rights protected by law; to provide for fair and equitable procedures for determining when this Policy has been violated; and to provide recourse for all members of the College community who allege violations of this Policy.

The DHR Policy set forth in this Document applies to the entire Â鶹ƵµÀ community. The policy also applies to third parties (such as campus visitors or vendors) who may have contact with members of the College community either on the College’s campus or at other College events and programs.
The College seeks to maintain an environment of mutual respect among all members of its community. All forms of harassment and discrimination on the basis of sex, gender identity and expression, pregnancy, religion, creed, color, race, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, medical condition, physical or mental disability, age, marital status, veteran status, family care leave status, political affiliation or any other class protected by federal, state or local law destroy the foundation for such respect and are violations of this policy.
Harassment is defined as any person’s conduct which unreasonably interferes with an employee’s or student’s status or performance by creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working or educational environment based on a protected class, but not every act that might be offensive to an individual or a group will be considered harassment. Students, staff, and faculty who believe they are being harassed, discriminated, or retaliated against or have observed such behavior by an Â鶹ƵµÀ community member against another should immediately report the incident following the complaint reporting procedures below. Persons found responsible for violating this policy will be subject to disciplinary action. It is the responsibility of all faculty, staff and students at the College to ensure compliance with this policy.
