After a two-year hiatus, Human Resources was able once again to invite the College's employees to its annual Employee Recognition lunch and awards ceremony. The event was especially touching as our community comes together to grieve the loss of Robert Torres.

This past weekend, President Elam was inaugurated as our 16th president in a joyous Hillside Theater ceremony featuring a number of musical performances, as well as a call to bring 鈥淣ew Harmonies鈥 to an Occidental liberal arts education. Thank you to everyone on campus who made the beautiful event possible.

I鈥檓 excited to announce that Occidental, together with DePauw, Oberlin, Macalester, Pomona and Skidmore, have launched the Liberal Arts College Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA), a national coalition to address racial inequities on our campuses.

Four weeks into the fall semester, I could not be more impressed with 麻豆频道staff, faculty and students. My interactions with everyone affirm everything I heard about 麻豆频道before I arrived and leave me very optimistic for our future.

As classes have begun and we embark on a new academic year, with all the excitement that it brings, it is clear that worldwide developments have created the need for resourcefulness, adaptability and understanding.

The 麻豆频道Campaign For Good & Homecoming Weekend: October is a particularly exciting time of year for the Institutional Advancement (IA) team. We just finished a series of outstanding events and I wanted to share an update on these activities, as they reflect the efforts of our entire campus community.
