Explore invisible hues and extinct and endangered species while discovering biodiversity among a vast bird study skin collection. The  show includes a number of specimens from the Moore Lab. Before or after each tour, stop by OXY ARTS to see the specimens in the context of the exhibition.

Natural history collections offer a wealth of information and serve as a hub for discovering nature, exploring the history of specimens, and inspiring scientific questions. Moore Laboratory of Zoology is home to the world’s largest Mexican bird collection and offers audiences, researchers, and students alike an insight into environmental science and genomic research utilizing modern and historical museum specimens. The lab explores how modern bird diversity arose on the landscape, ecological and evolutionary processes driving the origin of new species, and bird conservation on a changing planet.

There will be three tours starting at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm.
