JoinÌýus for an evening with Media Arts & Culture Department alum and esteemed filmmaker Michael Covino '09. We'll screen Covino's feature film°Õ³ó±ðÌý°ä±ô¾±³¾²úÌýwhich he directed, co-wrote, co-produced, and stars in.ÌýTheÌýfilmÌýhad its world premiere atÌýtheÌýCannes Film Festival in 2019, where it wonÌýtheÌýjury's Coup de Coeur prize, and went on to screen atÌýtheÌýworld's leading film festivals in advance of a critically-acclaimed global release.ÌýTheÌýscreening will be followed by a Q&A with Covino, moderated by Professor Broderick Fox.Ìý

This screening is part of the Media Arts & Culture Department's Fall 2022 MAC Cinematheque series, which brings together the Occidental and Los Angeles communities to explore representational questions tied to a chosen theme. This fall's series, titled "Â鶹ƵµÀCreates: Films by Occidental Alumni" includes two additional alumni events:ÌýGod's CountryÌý(2022) with executive producer Anthony Ciardelli '10 in attendance at 7 PM on September 14 (pre-reception at 6PM), andÌýCherry 2000Ìý(1987) with director Steve De Jarnatt '74 in attendance at 7 PM on November 10.Ìý
