Highland Park Community Project
Join Cornerstone Theater Company for a workshop introducing the Highland Park Community Project currently in development and informed by activities and conversation with neighborhood residents.
Cornerstone artists will teach THEA 290 - Creating Community Engaged Theater in Fall 2020, a course designed to study and participate in the process of creating a Highland Park-specific play to be produced in partnership with Â鶹ƵµÀ.
The February 28 workshop will introduce Cornerstone, and include activities and conversation about and for the Highland Park Project. This quick workshop relies on participants’ input for activities and conversations as we introduce elements of a community engagement process for script development and design using Cornerstone’s methods of cultural mapping, story circles and group inquiry. Come ready to share your Highland Park experience.
All are welcome! The free workshop works best with a diversity of participants coming from a variety of interests and disciplines, including but not limited to visual and performing arts, social justice, American studies, urban studies, etc.
Space is limited to 30 participants.
