In order to apply, an applicant must:
- be enrolled as a sophomore or junior
- intend to pursue a research career in the natural sciences, engineering, or mathematics
- have a GPA of at least 3.0
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Â鶹ƵµÀapplication process:
Â鶹ƵµÀmay nominate up to six candidates for the Goldwater Scholarship if we have both a transfer student and a U.S. Veteran. (i.e., the fifth and sixth nominees cannot be two transfer students or two U.S. Veterans). Applicants submit applications in the fall--look for emails in September about how to submit the pre-application.
