Saul Traiger teaches courses in 17th- and 18th-century philosophy, the foundations of cognitive science, contemporary epistemology, and the philosophy of mind.

His research includes work on the historical and conceptual foundations of cognitive science, the philosophy of mind, epistemology, and the philosophy of David Hume. A founding member of the International Computing and Philosophy Association, he is past president of the Hume Society and currently serves as co-editor of Hume Studies. He is the co-founder of Occidental's Cognitive Science program.
