Multidrug-resistant Gram negative bacterial infections have become a serious global health threat do to the lack of new and novel antibacterials targeting these pathogens. By retargeting the most abundant antibody in the human body to the surface of these bacteria, there is a hope that recruiting the actions of the innate immune system will bring about an innovative therapeutic strategy to add to the classical antibiotic approach.
